That HSE is not only a highly important topic to EEW, but to our customers and that the factor HSE influences competitive relationships in the whole branch, illustrates the new HSE bonus programme initiated by our customer Seaway Heavy Lifting (SHL). The Dutch company is the main EPCI contractor in charge of the erection of the offshore wind park called Beatrice.
SHL is highly motivated to set new standards not only in regard to technical and commercial ways but also in respect of HSE. Against this background the offshore constructor introduced a special bonus programme to improve the HSE performance along the entire supply chain. In close collaboration with their customers such as EEW, SHL defines HSE aims like reducing occupational accidents, decreasing the illness rate, lower the energy consumption and increasing the recycling rate of waste. If EEW will achieve these goals within the project schedule, SHL provides multiple thousand euros for charity.
